Texarkana Sports Photography

When the Hooks Pee Wee Cheerleaders called me up to ask if I did groups like that, I thought well, of course I do! Well, they would be my first, but why not? They were a great group to start with since most were or had been my students!  It was a whole different kind of photography, but I enjoyed it. I have tens of sports group shots of my own children taken by other photographers which are all the same (and kind of boring), so I knew my goal would be to pose them up differently. This spring and summer, I have done lots of baseball and softball team shoots, and for the posed group picture, I always try something other than the typical all standing up straight group shot.

In addition, I completely enjoy the action shots. Capturing the emotion in a basketball game is so fun, and absolutely challenging. I have not mastered it to my liking yet, but I have not quit trying either.

Katie is a long time close friend… I remember when she was born, so this is particularly special for me. She has a beautiful little girl who is about to be a big sister to a little brother, Connor!  This is actually two separate sessions.  What fun!

T Bridal Portraits

How fun to see a coach all gussied up like this!  T is a coach at my school and my first bride!  Yipee! Something I learned on my first bridal shoot: Bridal Sessions take a lot longer than other sessions because moving around in the dress and keeping it intact is challenging and time-consuming. That’s okay, next time I’ll know ahead of time! This was so fun! And, what about those red shoes???? 

 

The E family

A BIG family, how fun! We have mom, dad, sons, and daughter and her husband. I loved this opportunity to set up some really cool family poses! They were a lot of fun and great mixture of personalities! Besides being a beautiful family, I love the way they coordinated their outfits and the way the colors worked with the backgrounds.

Granny’s 80th Birthday, Texarkana Special Event Photographer

It was an honor to be a part of a special day for a special lady. My friend’s granny was having a birthday party. Quickly I felt welcome by a sweet family, and a lady who looked great for her age.  Sadly, Granny got sick and went to be with her savior just a couple months later. I am so glad I was able to capture these memories for this lovely family.
